The Fabrication Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring equipment used in the manufacturing of printed circuit boards (PCBs). This position follows work instructions, production specifications, and safety procedures to produce quality products in a timely and efficient manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Operate fabrication equipment and machinery according to established procedures and work instructions.
- Load and unload materials and finished products from equipment.
- Inspect materials and products for quality and workmanship.
- Verify part numbers, work orders, quantities, and other required production information.
- Follow manufacturing processes, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Perform basic machine adjustments and notify supervision of equipment problems or abnormalities.
- Complete required production and quality documentation accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety, environmental, and PPE requirements.
- Identify and report defective materials or products to the appropriate supervisor or quality personnel.
- Meet established production and quality standards.
- Work cooperatively with team members and other departments to maintain production flow.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred.
- PCB manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and follow written work instructions.
- Ability to use basic measuring tools and production equipment.
- Basic computer skills preferred.
- Good attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work scheduled hours and overtime as required.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to frequently use hands and fingers to handle materials and operate equipment.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials as required by the position.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
This position works in a manufacturing environment and may be exposed to machinery, chemicals, fumes, noise, dust, and other conditions associated with PCB manufacturing. Employees are required to follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
