About This Role

The VP of Marketing is responsible for leading the company’s acquisition and retention efforts. This role oversees brand marketing, digital acquisition, member retention, lifecycle marketing, and creative. The ideal candidate is a great balance between creative and analytical. You should be a data-driven, cross‑functional leader who can balance strategic vision with hands‑on execution to deliver measurable business impact. This role reports to the Chief Marketing Officer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead performance marketing strategies that reduce cost per acquisition and increase customer lifetime value.
  • Oversee data-driven campaigns across online and offline channels.
  • Optimize lead generation and conversion funnels to maximize return on investment.
  • Monitor and refine marketing initiatives based on campaign performance analytics.
Brand Execution and Engagement
  • Develop and execute a national brand strategy that increases brand awareness, engagement, affinity, and customer loyalty.
  • Implement brand strategies to enhance awareness, engagement, and loyalty.
  • Ensure consistent messaging that positions WeShare as a credible and accessible alternative to traditional health insurance.
  • Drive a long‑term brand‑building approach that steadily grows WeShare’s subscriber base while reinforcing its reputation in the market.
  • Drive initiatives that connect with key audiences such as health‑conscious individuals, cost‑conscious families, and faith‑driven communities.
Open Enrollment and Cyclical Marketing
  • Plan and execute around open enrollment periods in the U.S., ensuring marketing efforts align with each phase of the cycle.
  • Build a twelve‑month strategy that follows a structured cycle: build‑up to open enrollment, open enrollment period, post‑enrollment engagement, and then repeat.
  • Ensure marketing initiatives support each phase of the cycle, with clear targets for each open enrollment cycle.
  • Develop marketing initiatives that simplify the health‑sharing concept and educate consumers on its benefits.
Market Expansion and Consumer Engagement
  • Identify and engage key audiences, including health‑conscious individuals, cost‑conscious families and faith‑driven communities.
  • Ensure brand messaging speaks to transparency, affordability, simplicity, community, and superior care access.
  • Work with strategic partners, influencers, and advocates of change to expand WeShare’s reach, credibility and deepen consumer trust in health sharing.
Team and Strategic Collaboration with Leadership
  • Manage an in‑house team and external agencies as needed.
  • Work closely and cross‑functionally with key stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives, partnerships, and go‑to‑market strategies.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • 8+ years in leadership or managerial roles within marketing and lead generation/go-to-market strategies.
  • Proven success in implementing and optimizing multi‑channel marketing strategies at scale.
  • Strong background in performance marketing, consumer engagement, and brand management.
  • Data‑driven approach with experience in cost-per-user optimization and campaign ROI analysis.
