Who We Are
Friendly Center has been helping less-fortunate children and their families move toward self-sufficiency for over 100 years. This is done through over 20 programs and services. We provide life‑changing assistance to more than 1,000 families each year.
What We DoWe help the entire family with programs in education, food support, and mental health services. Our goal is to meet the needs a family may face, get them back on their feet, and prevent the cycle from continuing to the next generation.
Volunteer OpportunityJoin us. Together, we can end the cycle of generational poverty for families and future generations in Orange County.
Volunteers work closely with our team to provide food assistance to individuals and families through Friendly Mart, a mini‑market–style program where guests can select the food they need in a dignified, organized and welcoming environment. Volunteers will help set up and stock the market, guide guests, maintain a clean and safe space, and support the smooth, efficient operation of the market.
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with people and want to make a meaningful impact in their community.
This volunteer opportunity is available every Tuesday and Wednesday of the month.
