** ICU Float Registered Nurse
- ** Specialty:
** Intensive Care Unit

** Night shifts, 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
- ** Patient Ratios:** - Days: 1:2 - Nights: 1:2 - Weekends: 1:2

* Experience:
** - Minimum 2 years required, 3 years strongly preferred - ICU experience within the past year is mandatory - High acuity ICU experience is highly preferred
- ** Certifications
Required:
** - ACLS - BLS - NIHSS
- ** Community Hospital
Experience:
** Required
- ** Patient Population:
** Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
- ** Daily Census:
** 18 patients
- ** Number of Beds:
** 20

* Key Responsibilities:
** - Provide exceptional care to critically ill patients - Monitor and manage patients with various conditions, including but not limited to:
- Respiratory Failure - Acute Myocardial Infarction - Stroke - Multi-System Organ Failure - Administer medications, including continuous IV sedation and Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips - Utilize advanced equipment and technology for patient monitoring and safety - Participate in interdisciplinary support with teams such as Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Pharmacy
** Preferred
Skills:
** - Familiarity with preferred procedures and special equipment, including:
- Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump - Ventricular Assist Devices - Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy - External Ventricular Drains
** Scheduling Notes:** - Weekend coverage required:
Every other, may exceed to accommodate unit needs - Must be willing to float between like units
** Orientation & Onboarding:** - Orientation hours: 24 - Guaranteed hours:
Facility can call off once per two-week pay period
