Johnson Service Group (JSG) is seeking a Clinical Manager
- Operating Room Nurse Manager for a surgery center in Orange County.

Working hours:

Monday
- Friday 7:00am- 4pm

Salary Range- $62- $72 per hour.

Position Summary

The OR Manager is responsible for all aspects of perioperative nursing care delivery within the Operating Room. This includes oversight of surgical services, staff supervision, patient safety, clinical quality, and operational efficiency. The OR Manager ensures adherence to regulatory standards and best practices while supporting surgeons, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff.

  • Clinical Quality

    The OR Manager serves as a clinical leader responsible for ensuring the highest standards of perioperative patient care, safety, and outcomes across all surgical services.

    • Provides leadership and oversight to ensure safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered care in the Operating Room in accordance with facility policies, AORN standards, and regulatory requirements
    • Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates perioperative nursing care to achieve optimal patient outcomes
    • Ensures strict adherence to sterile techniques, infection prevention protocols, and surgical safety standards
      , including time‑outs and surgical site verification
    • Monitors and enforces compliance with all clinical policies, procedures, and accreditation requirements (e.g., CMS, Joint Commission, AAAHC as applicable)
    • Leads initiatives to reduce surgical site infections (SSI), complications, and patient safety events
    • Oversees and evaluates staff competency in perioperative practices, ensuring ongoing clinical proficiency and adherence to best practices
    • Ensures appropriate equipment, instrumentation, and supplies are available, functional, and consistently meet quality and safety standards
    • Responds to and leads intraoperative emergencies
      , ensuring effective team coordination and patient stabilization
    • Reviews and analyzes clinical data, incident reports, variances, and outcomes to identify trends and drive performance improvement initiatives
    • Participates in developing, implementing, and sustaining Quality Improvement (QI) initiatives
      , including performance metrics and benchmarking
    • Collaborates with infection prevention, risk management, and leadership teams to maintain a culture of safety and continuous improvement
    • Ensures staff compliance with documentation standards
      , maintaining accurate and complete patient records
    • Actively participates in weekly Clinical Leadership Team meetings, contributing to operational planning, clinical performance discussions, and strategic initiatives
    • Participates in Quarterly Quality Council meetings, presenting OR metrics, identifying improvement opportunities, and supporting organization‑wide quality goals
    • Communicates clinical performance, risks, and improvement initiatives effectively to leadership and staff
    • Drives accountability for quality outcomes within the OR team and fosters a culture of transparency and learning
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Education, Experience, and Licensure
    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current state RN license
    • Minimum of four (4) years of multi‑specialty Operating Room circulating experience required
    • Minimum of two (2) years of clinical management or leadership experience required
    • Ambulatory surgery center or hospital surgical services experience strongly preferred
    • Current BLS certification (or obtained within 90 days)
    • Current ACLS certification (or obtained within 90 days)
    • PALS certification required (or obtained within 90 days if required by facility)
