CHOC Specialists is a private pediatric subspecialty group with 26 pediatric subspecialties, operating at Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) in Orange County, California. We are seeking a qualified advanced practice pediatric oncology provider to support the outpatient and inpatient pediatric oncology services.
Responsibilities- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat pediatric oncology patients under the direction of an attending physician in an outpatient setting.
- Assist in developing and implementing comprehensive plans of care for patients in the outpatient clinic or infusion center (OPI).
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary oncology team to coordinate patient care.
- Provide consultation and education to patients and their families.
- Work 100% in inpatient pediatric oncology as a float provider with 4 × 10‑hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Perform required procedures and participate in the full scope of care in the inpatient setting.
- No on‑call or night shifts; work is scheduled only during day shifts.
- California licensure and certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
- At least two years of bedside experience in direct oncology care.
- Excellent communication skills.
- At least one year of clinical PA/NP experience is desired but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a professional team.

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
