Executive Director Hospice
- Registered Nurse

Location: Orange, CA

Position: Executive Director, Hospice

Position Type: Full‑Time

Remote/Virtual Position: No

Coverage Area: Orange, CA Market

Salary: $160,000 to $185,000 + Bonus

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a health‑related field
  • At least 2 years of full‑time supervisory or managerial experience in a hospice, home health agency, primary care clinic or health facility within the last 5 years
  • Current RN license in California
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of computer programs, especially Microsoft Office Suite and EMR systems
  • Knowledge of state regulations and requirements for hospice services
  • Commitment to compassionate care and continuous improvement
Responsibilities
  • Ensure the hospice follows all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations
  • Maintain compliance with required reports and records, including federal, state, accreditation, and local regulatory departments
  • Maintain accreditation when applicable and maintain survey readiness
  • Provide leadership and oversight to support growth through strategic relationship expansion plans in collaboration with Business Development teams
  • Manage overall financial performance of the program site, including oversight of controllable costs and participation in annual budget development
  • Organize, manage, and administer hospice resources to provide care and services to patients, families, and caregivers, ensuring palliation and management of terminal illness
  • Oversee day‑to‑day hospice operations, ensuring a coordinated care plan for all patients and families and maintaining overall management of care
  • Ensure care provides optimal comfort and dignity for patients and families, keeping their needs and goals as a priority
