Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)
This is a 13-week contract position.
Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) for a high-risk unit that provides comprehensive care for expectant mothers and their newborns. This position requires proficiency in various labor and delivery procedures and is essential in ensuring safe deliveries and patient comfort through every stage of labor.
Responsibilities:
- Circulate during cesarean sections and manage sterile procedures.
- Perform sterile vaginal exams and monitor fetal heart rate patterns.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal care during labor and delivery.
- Administer medications and manage high-risk deliveries, including preterm labor and multiple births.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required.
- Current RN license (compact license accepted).
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate (AWHONN Advanced preferred).
- Must possess skills in circulating for C-sections and performing sterile vaginal exams.
