American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2 years of L&D experience and Epic proficiency.

• Labor & Delivery unit including OR, antepartum care, with float to postpartum as needed
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Coverage required 7 days a week

• Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, AWHONN Advanced, NRP
• Epic charting experience required and must be documented in work history
• Cerner charting experience also required
• Minimum one year of acute care experience required
• Minimum one year of specialty experience within the past two years required
• Skills required:
  
  Labor and Delivery management, circulating for C-sections, fetal monitoring, recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, use of external fetal monitoring
• Additional skills preferred: triage, scrub, phlebotomy
• Two supervisor references required at time of application
• Must pass EKG exam (up to 3 attempts)

• Provide comprehensive Labor & Delivery nursing care including circulating for C-sections and fetal monitoring
• No blocked or self-scheduling available
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Must have been separated from previous employment at the facility for at least 1 year to return as a traveler
• No RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract highly preferred
• RTO must be finalized at time of submission and cannot be changed afterward
• Screenshot confirming RTO required when applying
• Manager interview may or may not occur; candidates should be comfortable proceeding without one
• First-time travelers may be considered if minimum experience requirements are met
