Your Role on the Team:
Position Summary:
The Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for the design and implementation of education programs and professional development of nurses in their assigned nursing service; focused on clinical outcomes and practice development. The clinical nurse educator oversees the orientation program of new hires, and is responsible for assessing the ongoing learning needs, competencies and skills of the nursing staff into the assigned nursing division.
Works closely with educators and clinical nurse specialists in the Department of Nursing Quality, Research, and Education on the design and implementation of organizational education programs and professional development of nurses. Serves as a positive role model, demonstrating expert professional nursing practice, strong customer service and enhanced leadership ability. The educator works on a collegial basis with the managers, CNS's and educators, and is an active participant on various UCI Health committees.

Required Qualifications:
RN specialty certification uniquely applicable to the specific unit served Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Knowledge of Title 22 and Joint Commission Requirements Demonstrated teaching/education/in-service skills with the ability to lead effectively Demonstrated nursing experience in an acute care setting Demonstrated Emergency Department Experience in an Academic Medical Center or Level 1 Trauma Center Computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office Products, including Word & Outlook Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Preferred Qualifications:
Must possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Nursing Education Experience in adult education Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Licenses and
