Description:
This role requires a Registered Nurse specializing in Pediatric Emergency.
The nurse will work in a high-volume environment.
The facility does not divert and has a fast track area with multiple triage areas.
Patient ages will range up to 25 years.
The average winter volume can exceed 400 patients per day.
Nurses will work variable shifts including mornings, afternoons, and nights.
Travelers are expected to be available for all holidays with minimal requests for time off.
Experience in children's hospital emergency departments will take priority in candidate selection.
The nurse will be responsible for various emergency procedures and will work as part of a team that includes emergency department technicians.
Internal codes will be managed by the nursing staff.
Travelers will float to different areas of the department as needed.
Travelers should be aware of the float requirements listed in the job description.
Candidates must have experience administering emergency medications and be familiar with a range of pediatric conditions.
It is expected that the nurse will manage high-stress situations effectively.
Interdisciplinary support services are available to assist in patient care.
