American Traveler is hiring an RN First Assist for the Operating Room, requiring proficiency across multiple surgical specialties and CRNFA certification.
Requirements- Active CA RN license required, must be in hand at submission
- BLS and CRNFA certifications required
- Minimum 3 years of scrub and circulating experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years, from a comparable specialty/setting
- Operating Room setting within the RNFA unit
- Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts (12:30pm-8:00pm); 4x10 or 3x12 schedules accepted
- Requires proficiency in robotics, bariatric, general, colorectal, ortho/spine, vascular, urology, and gynecology surgical cases
- Will perform surgical first assist duties including counting sponges and related items with the circulating nurse
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted site
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Candidates residing within 50 miles may be accepted at a lower bill rate
- Candidates should not contact facility staff directly except for agreed-upon interviews communicated through their recruiter
- Candidates must disclose any prior work history with Providence facilities, including location and dates, as part of consideration
