This is a 13-week contract position.
ScheduleDay shift, 3x12 hours (07:30 - 19:55), with the option of 4x10 hours.
Job DescriptionThe Registered Nurse in Surgical Services will provide comprehensive nursing care, proficient in robotics, bariatric, general, colorectal, orthopedic/spine, vascular, urology, and gynecology surgeries. The role requires 3 years of experience in scrubbing and circulating in the operating room (OR).
Responsibilities- Prepare operating room for surgical procedures.
- Assist in the scrubbing and circulating roles during surgeries.
- Work collaboratively with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate counts of surgical instruments and sponges.
- Respond to emergency situations effectively and efficiently.
- Participate in kidney call rotations as required.
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Certification as a Registered Nurse First Assistant (CRNFA) preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years scrubbing and circulating experience in the OR.
- Experience with various surgical specialties including robotic and bariatric surgeries.
