SUMMARYThis position will be responsible for generating new member sales and drive growth through external broker channels by managing enrollment via contracted agencies and agents. Oversee all broker channel activities, including training, events, and sales support, while fostering productive, collaborative relationships with brokers and agencies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAchieve or exceed sales targets by leveraging existing relationships with FMOs (Field Marketing Organizations) and brokers within Southern California.
Build and grow relationships with new agents while continuing to increase production with top-performing existing agents. Take a proactive approach in partnering with brokers and agencies, ensuring consistent engagement through regular check-ins and support.
Keep thorough records of agent visits, training sessions, questions, and other relevant data for follow-up and future planning.
Conduct Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) kickoff training and ongoing refresher sessions to ensure agents fully understand Astiva Health benefits, and how they are administered, enabling agents to accurately communicate benefit details to prospects.
Oversee all aspects of agent interactions, including commission tracking, resolving discrepancies, fulfilling enrollment kit requests, and ensuring agents meet certification requirements.
Motivate brokers to actively promote and sell Astiva Health products to their prospects and clients.
Provide support to brokers by responding to sales-related inquiries, such as MBI numbers, PCP , prescription drug costs, dental networks, missing documentation, and certification issues.
As needed, answer in-bound sales calls, and make out-bound prospect calls, response broker emails and inquiries.
Create and provide tools to simplify the application process, such as lists for the PCPs, dentists, acupuncture providers, and relevant grocery items.
Keep agent/broker training materials, including PowerPoint presentations, Q&A documents, and other resources, current and accurate.
Take the lead in planning, executing, and tracking provider and community events and activities.
Build and maintain relationships with Primary Care Provider (PCP) offices to ensure high levels of PCP and member satisfaction.
Collaboration:
Foster teamwork and collaboration across departments to achieve shared goals and enhance overall performance.
Gather and share feedback on the competitive landscape from brokers with leadership, as needed, to inform strategic decisions.
Participate in all mandatory management, administrative, educational, and training sessions to stay informed and compliant.
Ensure all sales, enrollment processes, and events are fully compliant with CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) regulations.
Individual sales production may be optional, depending on business needs.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE- 3 to 5+ years of work experience, preferably in healthcare or insurance, marketing, sales or customer service required
- Active California Life and Health Insurance License required
- AHIP Certification required each year
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance required with clean driving record
- Experience working with Insurance Agencies/Agents/ Field Marketing Organizations is preferred but not required
- Strong working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Medicare Marketing guidelines is required.
