Position: Driver - Must Have Class B License

Driver

Shifts, Time, and Days:
Tuesday - Saturday, 8am - 4:30pm

Pay Range: $20.00 – $21.00

The Driver is responsible for ensuring the safe driving of the community’s vehicles and for supervising residents during community outings or trips. The Driver may also assist in setting up and breaking down activities and events in accordance with the company’s mission and values.

Responsibilities
  • Operate community vehicles safely on outings, excursions, special activities, and personal resident appointments.
  • Assist with the safe loading of residents and their belongings onto and off community vehicles.
  • Follow all state and federal laws when operating community vehicles.
  • Comply with standards and processes for vehicle inspection and safe driving; demonstrate safe driving while transporting residents, observe speed limits, and remain punctual.
  • Act as a member of the activity staff during outings and within the community.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
  • Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co‑workers and other departments.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have either a Class B or Class C license with Passenger Endorsement to drive a bus.
  • Prefer two (2) years of experience driving a vehicle/van/bus transporting people.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
  • Must pass a Criminal Background Check and Health Screening, including physical and TB tests.
  • May be required to vaccinate and participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and wear face coverings and other PPE to protect the health and safety of team members and residents, per regulatory guidelines.
