Accounting Manager

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Orange, Connecticut. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and a background in financial management. The role requires expertise in handling fixed assets, lease accounting, and financial reporting to support daily operations and month-end processes.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring the accurate booking of journal entries and adjustments.

- Manage accounting tasks related to fixed assets and lease accounting, including compliance with ASC 842 standards.

- Assist with month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

- Perform account reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial records.

- Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel tools to analyze and present financial data.

- Maintain and manage accounting systems, with a focus on Oracle Net Suite.

- Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting regulations and standards. Requirements - Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role.

- Advanced knowledge of fixed asset and lease accounting standards, including ASC 842.

- Proficiency in Oracle Net Suite and Microsoft Excel.

- Strong understanding of month-end close processes and financial reporting.

- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Strong communication skills for collaboration across teams.
