, we are expanding our Construction Services Division and seeking individuals who share our values of innovation, precision, and proactive service.
We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Office Engineer to join our growing team in Connecticut.
Key Responsibilities- Review construction documents at all phases (conceptual, schematic, and final) to produce detailed quantity and cost estimates, particularly for concrete and steel scopes.
- Maintain comprehensive and well-organized project records and documentation.
- Prepare thorough and accurate construction progress meeting minutes.
- Evaluate cost estimates prepared by design consultants and provide feedback or corrections.
- Conduct field visits as needed to ensure alignment with plans, specifications, and project goals.
- Assist in preparing engineering reports, technical documentation, and supporting drawings.
- Review contractor submittals and shop drawings for compliance with project specifications.
- Remain current with industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Participate in both internal team meetings and client-facing meetings to discuss project status and resolve any challenges.
- Prepare change orders, material testing reports, and other project-related documentation.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of record-keeping and documentation systems in a construction environment.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar engineering or construction support role.
- Associate or Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Autodesk and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with ASHTOware and Compass software is a plus.
- Strong technical and analytical skills, with attention to detail in estimating and document review.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a team-oriented setting.
- Preferred certifications:
NICET II-IV
, PE License
, CCM/CMIT
, NETTCP
. - CTDOT project experience is highly desirable.
