Overview
Job Summary
The Lead Analyst – Applications is a senior technical and functional role responsible for the stability, roadmap, and continuous improvement of critical enterprise applications and overall applications architecture. This role serves as the primary liaison between business users, IT teams, and vendors while providing leadership within the applications function.
The Lead Analyst oversees solution design, configuration, mobile and offline workflow support, integrations, and complex issue resolution across desktop and field-based application environments, ensuring high-quality delivery and long-term operational reliability.
Responsibilities- Analyze business processes, identify gaps, and design application solutions through configuration, integration, or custom development.
- Own the functional and technical roadmap for assigned applications, including upgrades, enhancements, and mobile workforce capabilities.
- Develop application architecture, specifications, testing plans, and validation processes.
- Lead complex troubleshooting efforts and resolve escalated production issues.
- Design and validate integrations across enterprise platforms and third-party systems.
- Partner with project teams to support system implementations and enhancements.
- Lead application analysts and support teams, managing workload prioritization and operational oversight.
- Mentor team members and enforce technical and quality standards.
- Coordinate across IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders to deliver cohesive solutions.
- Maintain and enhance technical documentation, procedures, and training materials.
- Deliver training sessions for IT staff and end users.
- Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency, automation, and underutilized features.
- Manage vendor relationships for issue resolution, product enhancements, and roadmap alignment.
- Support system testing, change management, and release activities.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution.
- Coordinate user access reviews and security approvals.
- Support mobile platforms including offline workflows and data synchronization.
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure application continuity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, with at least 8 years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Minimum of 5 years supporting enterprise business applications.
- Strong knowledge of desktop, client-server, and mobile application architectures.
- Proficiency with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
- Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Proven ability managing vendors and complex system integrations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
