Salary

The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from $141,440 to $176,800 in New York and Maine; $155,600 to $194,500 in Connecticut.

Job Summary

Oversees the activities surrounding all infrastructure aspects under its responsibility, across Avangrid. Coordinates Database, Data Center, Network, and Platform infrastructure staff activities, prioritizes tasks, and communicates task status with Operations Technologies (OT) Management and the client community. Ensures adherence to global/local infrastructure blueprints and roadmaps. Manages and mentors staff as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure lifecycle management (HW/SW).
  • Technical evolution/refresh & support to infrastructure under its responsibility.
  • Identify opportunities for improving operational efficiency and reliability while reducing costs.
  • Execute infrastructure related projects (Technology Evolution, Transformation, Consolidation, Virtualization, etc.).
  • Infrastructure Pipeline management.
  • Provide technical expert support to issues resolution.
  • Coordinate and manage external Infrastructure Services.
  • Engage with Applications Team to define requirements and needs for Applications Projects execution.
  • Plan and assign resources to application projects in alignment with Infrastructure projects pipeline.
  • Ensure delivery of services in line with IT/OT metrics and processes.
  • Provide leadership for client‑led and IT/OT‑led projects.
  • Handle task prioritization, performance monitoring, task assignment, task status reporting, project work, and overall lifecycle planning.
  • Manage budgets (including rate case representation), dossiers, licensing, contract spend approvals and report on budget variances.
  • Local and Global Project Management Delivery.
  • Coordinate with Global peers and manage global infrastructure related projects.
  • Manage resources (people, processes, and technology).
  • Maintain and develop necessary skills of staff.
  • Communicate employee feedback, research and resolve employee questions, and report performance appraisal results.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with 10 years’ relevant experience required.
  • Master’s degree a plus.
  • Experience as an Infrastructure Lead Analyst or an IT consulting role and prior managing IT Infrastructure projects and resolving day‑to‑day issues.
  • Project Management experience and Vendor and Licensing management experience is a plus.
  • Strong technical, analytical, interpersonal, collaborative, and organizational skills and ability to perform efficiently and effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to proactively identify innovative solutions to challenging problems and explain complex concepts and risk simply and accurately to non‑technical users.
  • Management skills including staff development and budget.
  • Strong overall understanding of relevant business procedures.
  • Understanding of databases and their interdependences with critical IT systems.
  • Excellent team leader.
