Job Summary

The Assistant Maintenance Manager leads a team of maintenance mechanics and controls technicians in a fast‑paced environment, ensuring safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement across multiple sites.

Responsibilities
  • Model safety standards and maintain an environment focused on safety.
  • Lead, train, and support maintenance team members to develop skills and expand team capabilities.
  • Develop solutions to difficult problems, manage outside contractors, and be on‑call for emergencies.
  • Support multi‑site production while maintaining a customer‑focused approach.
  • Display energetic, self‑motivated and customer‑centric behaviors consistently.
  • Handle multiple projects and daily activities, meet deadlines, and develop plans to accomplish departmental and distribution goals.
  • Provide complete oversight of preventive maintenance for the facility and serve as the point of contact for the client during their shift.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work various shifts and alternative work schedules as needed.
  • Move extensively throughout the facility during shifts to attend to equipment and team members.
Essential Functions
  • Partner with onsite Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) to ensure all safety standards are met.
  • Meet operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including labor tracking.
  • Own scheduling and tracking completion of tickets.
  • Oversee building cleanliness and conduct daily/weekly audits.
  • Ensure accurate inventory tracking.
  • Implement preventive, predictive, and condition‑based maintenance programs.
  • Maintain a client‑centric relationship with operational stakeholders.
  • Participate in the development and tracking of budgets.
  • Assist in project planning and cost analysis.
  • Provide thorough feedback to enhance individual performance, including written performance appraisals and disciplinary actions up to termination.
  • Promote good housekeeping practices.
  • Travel as required to support network needs.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior leadership experience.
  • Experience performing maintenance on industrial machinery, electrical systems, and electronic controls.
  • Must be authorized to work within the United States without requiring company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing budgets and vendors.
  • Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Experience in project management.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and electrical schematics.
Physical Demands
  • Stand for prolonged periods and walk extensively throughout the facility during shift.
  • Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Lifting parts and tools averaging 20 pounds, occasionally up to 49 pounds.
  • Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, feet, manual, and wrist motion.
  • Work may involve elevated heights, small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, noise, vibration, and wet or uneven surfaces.
Compensation

Estimated compensation:  –  USD per year.
