Assembler, Manufacturing ​/ Production

Responsibilities

• Sets‑up and operate all manual machines to produce tooling, gages, and production components.
• Machine precision components to exacting tolerances and dimensions.
• Interpret prints, sketches/shop drawings, and engineering specifications; determine sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup.
• Uses a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Strong experience with conventional machining: milling, turning, and grinding.
• Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work.
• Ability to calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and utilize various measuring instruments such as micrometers, verniers, calipers, etc.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

• Comply with all company Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements.
• Read and understand the requirements on the work instructions for the operation to be carried out.
• Ensure all required documentation is available at the point of use and at the correct revision.
• Read and understand all manufacturing instructions before starting an operation (including TCS, engineering drawings, data cards, OIP).
• Use all measuring equipment defined within OIPs to check conformance.
• Carry out in‑process inspection to confirm components meet requirements before passing to subsequent operations.
• Ensure non‑conforming components are identified and communicated per the Non‑Conformance Procedure.
• Complete all work booking requirements within the ERP system for accurate WIP records.
• Follow work handling and storage instructions to prevent damage to components.
• Support Root Cause Analysis activities when non‑conformance occurs to prevent recurrence.
• Carry out and record all TPM activities per the specified schedule for the equipment being operated.
• Keep work areas tidy, cleaned, and maintained in accordance with 5S requirements.
• Engage in Continuous Improvement activities to maximize efficiency.
• Comply with all company procedures and policies.
