Job Description – Closing Team LeaderThe Closing Team Leader works with store teams to ensure guests are served and the store closes safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities include:
- Demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and creating equitable experiences.
- Model, train, and coach team members to deliver the service standard and drive sales growth.
- Problem‑solve and prioritize across multiple business areas to execute store strategies set by leadership.
- Support leaders through communication, collaboration, and daily check‑ins to influence sales performance and workload.
- Maintain store readiness for the next day: zoning, stocking, labeling, and safety checks.
- Use business planning tools to share priorities and updates with store leadership.
- Ensure safety culture: follow training, address emergencies, model safe behaviors, investigate injuries.
- Provide a welcoming experience by greeting guests and engaging them in a friendly manner.
- Support merch protection strategies, including ordering, storage, and security processes.
- Manage guest services such as order pick‑up, drive‑up, returns, and compliance with adult beverage laws.
- All other duties as assigned based on business needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent; previous retail experience preferred.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Ability to lead and hold team members accountable.
- Strong communication skills; ability to use hand‑held scanners and other technology.
- Work independently and with a team, managing tasks and prioritizing workload.
- Welcoming, helpful attitude toward guests and colleagues.
- Capacity to remain focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment while accomplishing multiple tasks within time limits.
- Physical ability to climb ladders, lift and move merchandise up to 44 pounds, and remain mobile for the duration of a shift.
- Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times.
- Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues.
- Accurate handling of cash register operations as needed.
- Capability to interpret instructions, reports, and information.
- Experience with beverage compliance laws may be beneficial.
