Project Manager – Security Operations Center

Salary Range: $116,640 – $145,800.

The Project Manager – Security (Security Operations Center) reports to the Senior Manager – Physical Security and leads the operation of a multi‑function team based at the company’s SOC in Orange, CT. Responsibilities include providing technical guidance, detecting, analyzing, communicating, and responding to security events, ensuring continual monitoring of critical infrastructure, assessing domestic and international risk, supporting traveler and operation safety, and conducting audits of SOC and related systems.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 24×7 direct supervision of SOC staff and analysts.
- Establish and maintain operational SOPs for the SOC and broader security team.
- Develop and conduct quarterly training and a professional development program for SOC staff.
- Ensure serviceability and accountability of all SOC equipment and software.
- Develop access‑control systems, CCTV operation, and support electronic security systems.
- Enhance the team’s computer skills including internet, open‑source searches, intelligence gathering, email, word processing, database programs, and specialized software.
- Coordinate with Senior Security Management to achieve corporate security goals.
- Manage incident escalation to senior leadership and maintain awareness of domestic and international risks.
- Support operations with reporting, investigations, and audits of physical access control systems.
- Select, manage, and train contracted staff; schedule contractors for 24×7×365 coverage.
- Conduct critical research on global events that could impact the company and evaluate specialized reports and metrics.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and critical review of work product.
- BA/BS degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Five years of operational security experience in a corporate environment with multi‑facility operations.
- Prior operations‑center experience in security, military, or law enforcement.
- Ability to conduct training in all SOC and crisis‑management areas.
- Minimum four years of supervisory experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong business acumen and vendor‑management experience.
- Excellent organizational, collaborative, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong reasoning competence to investigate, analyze, and draw appropriate conclusions.
- Ability to learn access‑control systems (e.g., AMAG, Lenel Onguard, Andover, C‑Cure).
- Ability to learn video‑management systems (e.g., Milestone, Genetec, Avigilon).
- Professional certification in the security field (CPP, PSP, PCI).
