About the Role
Rajal J Patel DDS PA is looking for a skilled and dedicated Registered Dental Assistant to join our growing dental practice in Orange, NJ. Responsibilities- Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of dental procedures including restorations, extractions, and preventive care
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatory rooms between patients
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) following proper safety protocols
- Record patient medical histories, treatment notes, and updates in dental software
- Educate patients on post-operative care and proper oral hygiene practices
- Manage dental supply inventory and ensure operatories are fully stocked
- Support front office functions including scheduling and patient communication as needed
- Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification or license in New Jersey
- Experience with dental four-handed dentistry and chairside assisting
- Proficiency in taking dental radiographs (X-rays); radiation certification required
- Familiarity with dental software and electronic health records (EHR)
- Strong knowledge of infection control, sterilization, and OSHA compliance
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment with a positive, team-oriented demeanor
