Job Description
Assumes professional responsibility for providing learning experiences and supervision of assigned students in a supportive and positive classroom climate that develops in each student the skills, attitudes, and knowledge to meet and exceed the State Core Curriculum Content Standards, following the approved curricula and directives of the school. Secondary teachers will strive to meet the highly effective criteria for the preparation of lesson plans, the use of data to drive instruction, the delivery of quality instruction, addressing the needs of diverse learners through differentiation, classroom environment, leadership, and professionalism.
Achieving academic excellence requires that the secondary teacher work collaboratively with other members of the school staff and parents.
- Teacher of Mathematics or Middle School Mathematics (Grades 5-8)
Starting salary begins at $73,829.00.
- As per negotiated salary guide.
- Commensurate with education and experience.
- New Jersey pension enrollment for retirement (TPAF/PERS/DCRP).
- Eligibility for health, vision and dental coverage, 403(b) plan, and flexible spending accounts, all subject to plan terms.
- Paid time off (PTO) earned on an accrual basis as per negotiated collective bargaining agreement.
- Tuition reimbursement as outlined in the collective bargaining agreement.
