Registered Nurse School in Orange, NJ

This contract position is designed for credentialed Registered Nurses with active NJ school nurse licensure, ready to contribute their expertise during an intensive July summer session. Multiple openings available offer flexibility between daytime and night school hours.

Ideal candidates bring hands‑on experience working with students in a school setting—clinical experience alone will not qualify. School‑based RN professionals will collaborate with district staff, providing comprehensive support across entire school buildings and ensuring the well‑being of students in a dynamic environment.

• Valid, active NJ Registered Nurse license with school nurse certification.
• Minimum of recent experience in a school‑based setting (not limited to clinical/hospital roles).
• Ability to begin July 1, 2026 and commit to the contract through July 31, 2026.
• Ability to work onsite and be physically present as required.
• Successful completion of fingerprinting, TB testing, and physical (agency and district specific).
• Candidates must reside within commutable distance.
• Ready and available for an in‑person or Zoom interview prior to placement.

• Deliver high‑quality nursing care and support to students across district schools.
• Respond quickly and professionally to student health needs during scheduled hours.
• Document student interactions and maintain compliance with state and district health regulations.
• Collaborate with other health professionals, educators, and staff for optimal student outcomes.
• Participate in district‑wide initiatives and assist with health screenings or prevention programs as directed.

The work schedule features four openings from 8:30AM–12:30PM, as well as a night school shift (hours determined at interview).
