Assistant Registrar
The Assistant Registrar ensures that families enrolling their children into school at the Orange Township Public Schools have a seamless process of enrollment and that enrollment requirements are met based on Orange Board of Education policy and procedures.
Required Qualifications and Skill-Set:
- Possess a High School Diploma (college graduate preferred).
- Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint Presentation).
- Have a working knowledge of Genesis Student Information Systems, desired.
- Possess excellent leadership and organization skills.
- Have knowledge and skill set to develop, create, maintain and implement district database systems.
- Have three or more years of experience in a secretary, administrative and/or specialist role.
- Hold and maintain a valid driver's license with no serious violations and have a vehicle for transportation.
- Must be community oriented, preferably with experience in youth programs or school activities.
- Demonstrate ability to work well with the community at large, including outside agencies, parents and students.
- Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative.
- Exhibit a personality that demonstrates interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administrators, parents, and the community.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary.
- Provide proof of U. S. citizenship or legal resident alien status by completing Federal Form I-9 in compliance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986.
- Provide evidence that a criminal record history check has been conducted and clearance has been given by the Department of Education.
- Provide evidence that health is adequate to fulfill the job functions and responsibilities with reasonable accommodation pursuant to 42 U.S.C. 12101 and in accordance with N.J.A.C. 6:3-4A-4.
- Pass the State required Mantoux Intradermal Tuberculin Test as required by N.J.A.C. 6:3-4A-4.
- Meet such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.
Salary and Benefits:
Commensurate with experience and education plus medical benefits and retirement pension. Paid time off. Must be able to work late and weekends to attend district events. Starting salary begins at $50,000.00. Compensation package includes the following benefits:
New Jersey pension enrollment for retirement (TPAF/PERS/DCRP) Eligibility for health, vision and dental coverage, 403(b) plan, and flexible spending accounts, all subject to plan terms Paid time off (PTO) earned on an accrual basis as per negotiated Collective Bargaining Agreement Tuition Reimbursement as outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement Bargaining Unit Non-Affiliated.
