Energy Efficiency Program Manager

We are seeking an experienced Energy Efficiency / Program Manager to support a utility-sponsored energy efficiency portfolio in New Jersey. This is a hands‑on, oversight‑focused role working across HVAC, lighting, and other energy conservation measure (ECM) projects in compliance with NJ BPU and NJ Clean Energy Program requirements.

This role is ideal for someone who understands both the operational and regulatory sides of utility energy efficiency programs — not just construction delivery.

• Provide program oversight for energy efficiency projects across scope, schedule, and budget
• Manage vendors and contractors; review deliverables and monitor performance
• Review and approve milestone‑based construction payments and invoices
• Forecast program spend and track budget utilization
• Conduct site visits to ensure compliance and quality standards
• Ensure alignment with NJ BPU Orders, NJ Clean Energy Program guidelines, and Cost Test requirements
• Support regulatory reporting and ensure accurate documentation
• Maintain strong customer and stakeholder relationships

• Experience supporting utility-sponsored energy efficiency or DSM programs
• Strong understanding of NJ BPU guidelines and NJ Clean Energy Program requirements
• Knowledge of HVAC, lighting, and other energy conservation measures (ECMs)
• Experience with vendor management and project financial tracking
• Ability to conduct site visits and oversee project compliance
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Contract role
• Based in NJ with travel throughout assigned territory
• Hands‑on program oversight focus
