PURCHASING JUNIOR-MANUFACTURING ORIENTED

Skills Needed

• Obtain quotations and compare pricing from approved suppliers.
• Issue and track purchase orders for materials, tooling, and machine shop supplies.
• Monitor delivery schedules and follow up on late shipments.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier information.
• Assist with inventory replenishment and stock level monitoring.
• Coordinate with production and engineering to meet manufacturing requirements.
• Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, lead times, and order status.
• Support cost‑saving initiatives while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of purchasing, procurement, or administrative experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic understanding of machining materials, tooling, and manufacturing processes is preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and ERP/MRP systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving skills.

We are seeking a motivated candidate with at least one year of recent experience in a Junior Purchasing or Purchasing Support role, preferably in a machining or manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has excellent English communication skills, works well with machine shop managers, purchasing, inventory control, vendors, and team members. The candidate should be organized, detail‑oriented, possess good common sense, and be eager to grow with our well‑established manufacturing company.
