School Nurse

People First Education Staffing is currently seeking an experienced School Nurse to join a supportive school district in Orange, New Jersey, for the upcoming school year. If you're passionate about student health and enjoy working in a school setting, we'd love to connect with you!

• Hours:
  
  8:15 AM - 3:15 PM
• Caseload:
  Elementary and Middle School students

• Provide comprehensive nursing services to students throughout the school day.
• Assess and respond to student health needs and emergencies.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and district policies.
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation.
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to support student well-being.
• Oversee health services for assigned school building(s).
• Promote a safe and healthy learning environment.

• Active New Jersey School Nurse License (Required)
• Previous school-based nursing experience (Required)
• Ability to independently manage a school health office and student caseload
• Comfortable working within the assigned district
• Reliable transportation and a reasonable commuting distance
• LPN candidates are not eligible for this position

• TB Test
• Physical Examination

Qualified candidates will participate in a brief 15-minute interview.
