We are seeking a proactive and precision-focused
Quality
Engineer/ Quality Lead to support quality assurance forglass to metal seals in a high-mix, high-precision manufacturing environment. This role is instrumental inprocess validation, root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001standards.
The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of mechanical drawings, and quality systems, along with a passion fordata-driven problem solving and ahands-on approach to working closely with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams.
Qualifications- Interpret mechanical drawings specifications to validate and analyze dimensional accuracy of parts.
- Conduct and document
First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102 and internal requirements. - Lead or support process validation effortsfor new products, tooling, and process changes.
- Perform thoroughroot cause analysis (RCA) on nonconformances and quality issues; generate and implement
Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA). - Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects, scrap, and variation.
- Analyze quality and production data to identify trends and systemic issues; work cross-functionally to implement effective solutions.
- Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports, control plans, NCRs, and FMEAs.
- Support compliance with ISO 9001quality management system through documentation, audits, and internal process controls.
- Daily Inspect incoming raw materials and finished assemblies for compliance with specifications
- 3-5 yearsof quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and Six Sigma methodologies
- Background inaerospace, defense, or regulated high-precision manufacturing
- Familiarity with glass to metal assemblies, including thermal distortion, shrinkage, and tolerance control
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001standard
