Quality Engineer Lead

We are seeking a proactive and precision-focused

Quality

Engineer/ Quality Lead to support quality assurance forglass to metal seals in a high-mix, high-precision manufacturing environment. This role is instrumental inprocess validation, root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001standards.

The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of mechanical drawings, and quality systems, along with a passion fordata-driven problem solving and ahands-on approach to working closely with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams.

• Interpret mechanical drawings specifications to validate and analyze dimensional accuracy of parts.
• Conduct and document
  
  First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102 and internal requirements.
• Lead or support process validation effortsfor new products, tooling, and process changes.
• Perform thoroughroot cause analysis (RCA) on nonconformances and quality issues; generate and implement
  
  Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects, scrap, and variation.
• Analyze quality and production data to identify trends and systemic issues; work cross-functionally to implement effective solutions.
• Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports, control plans, NCRs, and FMEAs.
• Support compliance with ISO 9001quality management system through documentation, audits, and internal process controls.
• Daily Inspect incoming raw materials and finished assemblies for compliance with specifications

• 3-5 yearsof quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment

• Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and Six Sigma methodologies
• Background inaerospace, defense, or regulated high-precision manufacturing
• Familiarity with glass to metal assemblies, including thermal distortion, shrinkage, and tolerance control
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001standard
