• Salary: Up to $55 per flag rate hour based on credentials

Position Overview

The Automotive Service Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality vehicle service and effective communication. You will work closely with the Service Manager to set and achieve personal service goals, while maintaining a professional and courteous attitude toward customers.

Responsibilities

• Accurately troubleshoot customer concerns using the latest diagnostic and administrative tools
• Provide courteous service and act as a secondary greeter when near the Service Drive
• Stay current with technical publications, Service Comm, and Assist terminal operations
• Deliver safe and reliable vehicle service on the first attempt
• Address original customer concerns before discussing additional service options
• Inspect vehicles for additional service opportunities according to factory and local recommendations
• Return vehicles clean or cleaner than when received
• Participate in factory and in-house training programs
• Complete all paperwork accurately and attach required shop forms
• Perform other duties assigned by the Service Manager, Assistant Service Manager, or Group Leader
• Maintain punctuality, readiness to work, and a clean uniform

Compensation and Benefits

Job Requirements:

• Experience with warranty and non-warranty inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair on various vehicle makes and models
• Proven ability to meet or exceed performance goals
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Professional appearance and strong work ethic
• Positive attitude with high energy
• Ability to read and understand instructions clearly
• Good judgment and decision-making skills
• Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical aptitude demonstrated by ASE certification
• Technical or trade school degree preferred
