Mike Willis Ford Orange is looking for a dependable Automotive Service Technician to join its service team in Orange, Texas. The service department supports customers by maintaining and repairing vehicles with attention to safety, quality, and clear communication.
We are looking for a technician who takes pride in accurate diagnostics, quality repairs, organized work, and a positive team environment. This is an opportunity to contribute to a dealership service operation while continuing to develop your automotive skills.
About the roleAs an Automotive Service Technician, you will diagnose, maintain, and repair customer and dealership vehicles in accordance with manufacturer and dealership standards. You will work from repair orders, communicate with Service Advisors and the Parts Department, document completed work, and help ensure each vehicle is returned safely and properly repaired.

Work requirements- Previous professional automotive repair experience is required.
- Valid driver’s license and driving record that meet dealership requirements.
- Professional automotive tools appropriate for the role.
- Ability to complete required background screening and drug screening.
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a service shop environment.
- Review repair orders and complete assigned work efficiently and accurately.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, drivability, and other vehicle concerns using appropriate diagnostic tools and repair information.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on vehicle systems in accordance with manufacturer and dealership standards.
- Communicate with Service Advisors when additional work is identified, a repair cannot be completed as promised, or clarification is needed.
- Coordinate with the Parts Department to obtain required parts and follow dealership procedures for warranty or replaced components.
- Document diagnostic steps, repairs, parts, and work performed on each repair order.
- Road-test vehicles as needed to verify that repairs address the customer concern.
- Complete quality checks and help prevent repeat repairs and comebacks.
- Keep customer vehicles, tools, equipment, and work areas clean and protected.
- Follow dealership safety procedures and applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
- Participate in training and stay current on Ford products, technical information, and repair procedures.
- Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to completing repairs correctly.
- Ability to read and follow repair orders, service manuals, technical information, and manufacturer procedures.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work respectfully with Service Advisors, Parts personnel, managers, and other technicians.
