Adjunct Instructor – Core Curriculum Courses

Faculty will be expected to teach assigned classes according to approved course syllabi or instructional dean. Teaching responsibilities include delivering lectures, facilitating class discussions, and evaluating student performance. Classes will be held in Livingston, TX at the TDCJ Polunsky Unit as part of the educational partnership between Lamar State College Orange and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

Hours vary and may include day, evening, and/or weekend classes. This posting is for in‑person instruction; online instruction is not available.

Salary: USD 16.83 per hour. Salary will be adjusted based on selected courses. Candidates will work approximately 19.5 hours per week.

Responsibility:
Teach college courses to high‑school students, both on and off the ISD campus.

Role

Summary:

Provide support, maintenance, and configuration for enterprise applications, primarily Ellucian Banner and related systems. This exempt staff position reports to the Director of Enterprise Applications.

• Maintain and troubleshoot ERP systems.
• Write reports and manage system integrations.
• Analyze and solve technical problems.
• Work under general supervision while exercising independent judgment.

• Supervise shared business services for Budget Control and Cash Management.
• Serve as primary contact for the Business Office at the LSCPA campus.
• Provide oversight for Lamar State College Port Arthur, Lamar Institute of Technology, and Lamar State College Orange.
• Operate with minimal supervision, exercising initiative and independent judgment.
• Exempt position reporting to the Assistant Vice President.

• Provide instruction for students enrolled in the RN or VN Nursing Programs at TSUS Polk County Center.
• Teach core nursing courses and clinical skills.
• Collaborate with faculty to develop curriculum and assessments.
