Embedded Adjunct Dual Credit

Job Summary

Dual Credit Adjunct Instructors' responsibilities include, but are not limited to teaching assigned college courses to high school students, both on and off the ISD campus they are teaching for.

• Teach courses as scheduled.
• Maintain one office hour per week/per course.
• Attend LSCO adjunct faculty meetings.
• Assess courses on departmental and institutional levels.
• Complete LSCO Basic Blackboard Certification.
• Complete LSCO Title IX training.
• Must have reliable transportation for travel to assigned instructional sites.
• Attend Teaching and Learning Center to upgrade teaching skills.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Academic transfer – Master’s Degree with at least 18 SCH in subject area.
• Technical – Associate’s Degree in subject area OR License/Certification with 3+ years of work experience in the field related to discipline.
• If you are applying to teach a profession that requires a license, provide a copy of your license in the ‘Other Document’ area in the ’Documents Needed to Apply’ section. (Examples: Peace Officer license, NCCER certification, CNA, etc.)

This position is security-sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of the Texas Education Code §51.223. It is also subject to §51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information.
