Educational Aide
- Helps supervise students throughout the school day, inside and outside the classroom.
- Helps manage the behavior of students.
- Assumes responsibility for learning and adapting to each student’s special, medical, physical, communicative, and emotional needs.
- Keeps the teacher informed of special needs or problems of individual students.
- Protects and maintains the confidentiality of information that pertains to students or staff members.
- Participates in staff development training programs, faculty meetings, and special events as assigned.
- Demonstrates punctuality and good attendance.
- Interactions are supportive, courteous, and respectful with students, parents, staff, community members, and other professionals.
- Complies with all verbal and written directives.
- Responds constructively to supervision and guidance.
- Records documentation as required.
- Demonstrates effective organization in the use of time and resources to carry out assigned duties.
- Helps with the care and maintenance of equipment.
- Provides orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
- At least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
- High School/Trade School degree preferred.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required
