Adjunct Instructor – Lamar State College – Orange
The role places major emphasis upon teaching, scholarship, and service. Adjunct Instructors must be qualified and competent to teach applicable courses within the degree and certificate programs. Hours vary, depending on the need and course schedule, and may include day, evening, and/or weekend classes. This is not a posting for ONLINE instructors. Classes will be delivered at the following locations:
- Lumberton, TX – Lamar State College Orange Lumberton campus
- Livingston, TX – Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Polunsky Unit (educational partnership)
- San Marcos, TX – Texas State University (or another TXST site)
- Polk County Center, Livingston, TX – Texas Southern University
LSCO is currently seeking faculty for the following courses:

Reports directly to the Director of Admissions and Recruiting. Responsible for ensuring that all required records for admissions to Lamar State College Orange are received, in order, and entered into the Banner student system as well as other related systems.

Reports directly to the Gator Café Manager. Responsible for assisting the Manager and Cook in all daily operations of the Gator Café. This is a salaried, part‑time position working 20 hours per week.

Provide service, information and aid to all citizens as circumstances require, assist and support victims of crime when directed by a supervisor, deter crime through constant uniformed presence, take non‑criminal reports, and observe and report safety issues on campus. Serves as a Campus Security Authority as defined by the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act).
- Salary $16.83/hr – Candidate will work 19.5 hours a week.

Serve as the institutional lead in developing, managing, and expanding dual credit programs across partnering school districts, Texas Department of Juvenile Justice facilities, home school entities, and other agencies that serve dual credit students. Provide strategic vision, oversight, and coordination for all dual credit operations, including new initiatives, ensuring compliance with state and accreditation requirements while promoting student access, retention, and success.
Collaborate with academic and student services leaders to align Texas Education Agency and college curricula, support credentialing and onboarding.
