Job Summary
Maintains environmental compliance at the Sabine and Orange County Power Station Plants through active onsite support and presence. This position is designated as a Safety Sensitive position and is subject to mandatory pre‑employment and random drug testing.
Responsibilities- Provide expert guidance to plant personnel regarding environmental issues
- Work in direct support of the Plants to ensure regulatory compliance
- Maintain thorough knowledge of site‑specific environmental permits and plans
- Provide oversight or project management to plant environmental projects
- Conduct routine plant rounds and inspections to assess environmental compliance and performance with all applicable permit conditions and regulations, documenting findings as required, and taking necessary action to close any identified gaps
- Prepare regulatory required environmental reports (DMR, EER, SAM, ACC, etc)
- Maintain required environmental records and documentation for the plants
- Deliver environmental training to plant personnel as required by applicable regulations and company procedures and programs
- Provide environmental compliance support to respond to spills and releases, and make notifications as required by applicable regulations
- Manage waste handling and disposal, and manifesting activities
- Monitor results from continuous emission monitoring systems (CEMS), track CEMS availability, and maintain related records
- Coordinate environmental sampling and testing activities as required by applicable regulations and permits
- Participate in work groups to support new and ongoing projects
- Identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities
- Manage records and documentation pertaining to compliance programs in accordance with the records retention policy
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
Minimum Experience:
- Analyst – Environmental I-II: 0–2 years of experience handling environmental compliance activities.
- Analyst – Environmental III: 3–5 years of experience handling environmental compliance activities.
- Analyst – Environmental Sr.: 5–6 years of experience handling environmental compliance activities

Desired:
- Experience managing environmental programs in an industrial or power generation setting
- Experience in preparing environmental reports for an industrial or power generation facility, including Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMRs), Excess Emission and monitoring system performance Reports (EERs), Semi‑Annual Monitoring (SAM) reports, and Annual Compliance Certification (ACC) reports
- Experience in managing hazardous materials and hazardous waste shipments in accordance with DOT and RCRA requirements
- Knowledge of power generation fundamentals
