Youth Development
Overview
Plans, implements, supervises members and evaluates activities provided within a specific program area, supporting the Red Shield Youth Centers priority outcome areas of Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Good Character and Citizenship. May oversee special programs and/or events (i.e. Keystone, Youth of the Year and Awards Programs), and/or participate in the implementation of other unit activities as necessary. In the absence of the Program Coordinator, may provide supervision oversight to other Youth Development Professionals to ensure continuity of program services at unit/branch locations.
Builds and maintains a professional relationship with all Centers members and their families in order to help advance the mission of The Salvation Army.
Creates an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development Outcomes.
