As a Security Officer - Roving Patrol Driver in Orange, TX
, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As an unarmed patrol officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access points as needed.
This position is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Bring strong communication and customer service while working with an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and delivers through teamwork and integrity.

Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour
Job Schedule:
- Tue 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
- Wed 06:00 AM - 10:00 AM
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial chemical and/or petrochemical location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or public emergency services as directed by post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, process areas, and perimeter routes to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Control access through gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining entry and exit logs, and directing traffic flow per site rules.
- Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and observations, and communicate status updates to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership as needed.
- A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or security license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
