Job Title: 3rd year Apprentice to Journeyman Lineman

Apprentice/Journeyman Lineman roles with progressive levels (3rd Year Apprentice, 4th Year Apprentice, Journeyman Lineman) in high and low voltage line work involved in the construction and maintenance of electric transmission and distribution conductors, structures and equipment. Roles include installation, maintenance, and removal of meters, services and related equipment on customer premises, and related tasks as assigned.
Responsibilities- Under supervision, perform less complicated tasks on high and low voltage line work, following company construction specifications.
- Install, maintain, and repair street lighting equipment and fixtures; assist in aerial and submarine cable installations and joints.
- Assist in installing pole type regulators, transformers, primary metering equipment; perform load and voltage checks; read and check meters and change graphic charts.
- Plan and lay out work in a safe and efficient manner; direct work of helpers, apprentices, and underclassmen as required.
- Work energized conductors and perform tasks on energized circuits under appropriate conditions and supervision.
- Perform field tests of distribution transformers; locate trouble and restore service on all classes of lines and equipment.
- Install, remove, and test temporary wiring for equipment; install and remove transformer installations and metering equipment.
- Assist in the installation of transformers, regulators, and related equipment to manage line voltage.
- Read, interpret, and check meters and related equipment; give service and meter locations.
- Maintain safety compliance, work at heights, operate bucket trucks, and wear required PPE; perform emergency rescue operations when needed.

Under directive supervision, apply company specifications to high/low voltage work; 3+ years demonstrated linework experience as noted below. - Apprentice 4th Year
:
Under directive supervision with limited latitude; perform high/low voltage line work including underground and energized conductors; 4+ years demonstrated linework experience. - Journeyman Lineman
:
Under directive supervision with some latitude for planning, complete the most complex work on energized/de-energized systems; 5+ years demonstrated linework experience. - Essential functions include traversing uneven terrain, extreme weather, confined spaces, climbing, emergency rescue operations, working up to 16 hours per day, and ability to wear PPE.
- Maintain a valid Class A CDL and ability to operate trucks/heavy equipment around energized lines.
- Strong safety mindset, ability to work with teams, and regular attendance; ability to work overtime and in storms/outages as needed.

Additional Requirements: This position requires a pre-employment Fitness for Duty exam. It is designated as a Safety Sensitive position and is subject to pre-employment and random drug testing.
