P&D Driver

Overview

As a P&D Driver, you pick up, transport, and deliver freight locally. You will be the face of Southeast Freight Lines, serving our customers on a regular basis.

As a tractor‑trailer operator, you will drive in various conditions and handle vehicle operations such as coupling and uncoupling, connecting lines, and adjusting equipment. You will conduct vehicle inspections, manage the loading and unloading of cargo, and ensure the accuracy and compliance of transport documents, especially hazardous materials. Skilled maneuvering in challenging environments like heavy traffic and tight spaces is essential.

You will report any incidents or delays and adhere to all safety regulations and company policies. Focus on excellent customer service and professionalism.

Minimum 6 months driving experience (1 year preferred). Hold a High School Diploma or GED. Valid CDL with HAZMAT, Tanker, and Twin Trailer endorsements without automatic restrictions. Must be at least 21 years old and capable of reading, comprehending, writing English, performing simple math, handling receipts, reading maps and road signs, and maintaining driving logs. Must have knowledge of DOT rules, regulations, and guidelines, including safe driving, hours of service, vehicle inspections, and transportation of hazardous materials.

Must meet DOT physical qualifications and pass alcohol and drug tests.

Annual pay: $91,728 – $100,191 (average may vary based on experience, hours, and location).
