Based in Orangeburg, SC, we are a full-service contractor specializing in land clearing & grubbing, site grading, demolition and SCDOT highway work. Description Of Position

The Project Manager will oversee the building of construction projects and will be involved in all areas pre-planning, budgeting, resource allocation, contract negotiation, and worker coordination.

Organizational Relationships

The Project Manager reports to the Construction Manager – Private of Palmetto Sitework Services. Normal inside contacts will include all employees of Palmetto Sitework Services’ field teams, project management, preconstruction/estimating teams, accounting, construction administration, human resources, and IT. Outside contacts include clients, Department of Transportation, SC Department of Transportation, counties, municipalities, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and inspectors.

Job Duties And Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate the ability to organize and manage multiple contractors and schedules for private sector construction projects;
    Possess excellent time-management skills.
  • Ensure safety, quality control, and environmental protection programs are followed on all construction projects.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of construction procedures and material and project management principles, as well as construction/project management software.
  • Review project work to ensure progress is within the expected time and budget;
    Maintain accurate and timely reports.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Develop and maintain positive business relationships with potential clients.
  • Assist in the estimating process as requested/required.
  • Coordinate with asphalt superintendents to ensure accurate scheduling of production.
  • Complete any other job-related duties as assigned.
