Position:
Lower School STEAM Teacher (4K-5th Grade)
Orangeburg Preparatory School is seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and student-centered Lower School STEAM Teacher to join our team. This position serves students in 4K through 5th grade, fostering curiosity, innovation, and hands-on learning through Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing engaging, hands-on STEAM lessons that promote creativity and problem-solving
- Encouraging collaboration, critical thinking, and exploration
- Integrating technology and project-based learning into instruction
- Creating a positive, structured classroom environment that supports young learners
- Collaborating with faculty to support cross-curricular learning experiences
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (teaching certification preferred)
- Passion for elementary education and experiential learning
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
Experience with STEM/STEAM instruction or project-based learning is a plus
