As a Criminal Justice Instructor, you will play a pivotal role in educating and inspiring students about various aspects of the criminal justice field, including law enforcement, corrections, criminology, and legal studies. Duties And Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver lectures and coursework on various criminal justice topics.
  • Design, develop, implement, and revise courses, curricula, and academic programs that support program objectives that align with departmental, college, and university goals.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in the field of criminal justice.
  • Prepare and grade assignments, exams, and projects.
  • Provide mentorship and academic advising to students.
  • Facilitate classroom discussions and encourage student participation.
  • Conduct and publish research in the field of criminal justice.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of the educational program.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and professional development activities (university, college and departmental).
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
Minimum Requirements For Entry Into Position
  • Master's degree in criminal justice or a closely related field.
  • Professional experience in the criminal justice system.
Preferred Requirements For Entry Into Position
  • Ph.D. in Criminal Justice or a related field.
  • Experience in law enforcement or criminal justice research.
  • Prior teaching experience at the college or university level.
