As the Lead Mechanical Engineer, reporting to the Sr. Maintenance Manager, you will provide technical and troubleshooting support to solve acute problems and provide continuous improvement solutions to maximize OEE and ensure safety of operations and maintenance.
Responsibilities- Provide daily maintenance support, troubleshoot, and implement improvement projects.
- Collaborate with vendors, maintenance, and operations technicians.
- Develop scopes, order equipment, write work notifications and MOCs, and communicate with crews.
- Investigate and recommend new or improved technologies.
- Provide technical design for pumping systems and pressure vessel modifications.
- Prepare budgetary scopes, project descriptions, and PAF.
- Develop Gantt charts, bid packages, obtain quotes/bids, issue purchase requisitions.
- Act as construction liaison with SI Group, nested and non-nested contractors.
- Manage overall project cost and handle overruns.
- Update documentation in the database.
Provide after‑hour support for high‑priority processes on a weekly/monthly basis.
Qualifications- BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Masters preferred).
- Minimum 10 years experience in chemical manufacturing.
- Knowledge of ASME Div 8, API‑510, API‑653, API‑570 Codes.
- Strong MS‑Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Maintenance Connection skills.
- Experience with fluid flow, pressure vessel, or pipe stress analysis software is a plus.
