Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification, and Philips equipment experience for a 13-week assignment at a Level III Trauma facility in Orangeburg, SC.
Responsibilities- Work in the MRI department of a 286-bed Level III Trauma hospital
- 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday through Thursday, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
- On-call rotation required among staff members; call hours are Monday through Friday 6:00 PM to 5:30 AM and full weekends from Saturday 5:30 AM through Monday 5:30 AM
- Weekend work may be required if on call
- Charting in Epic
- Philips MRI equipment experience required
- No floating required
- This facility is a Level III Trauma center
- Modules are completed prior to the assignment start date
- Black pants and teal top scrubs required
- Free parking on-site
- Candidates who have previously worked as permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC facility must have been separated from the MUSC system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized, though local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- All requested time off must be disclosed prior to acceptance of the position
- Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November, with peak activity in August and September), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams
- Minimum of 1 year of MRI Tech experience
- Current BLS (AHA), and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification
- Hands-on experience with Philips MRI equipment
- SC license required if applicable
- Driver's License required for consideration
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
