Job Description Summary
Confirm patient demographics and insurance information are correct. Prior authorizations for diagnostic and clinic orders/procedures. Verify eligibility of insurance on all incoming patients. Determine covered medical insurance benefits in accordance with the provisions of the plan document. Document medical claims processes by completing forms and providing appropriate documentation to insurance companies upon request. Ensure legal compliance by following company policies, procedures, guidelines, as well as federal insurance regulations.
Acquire appropriate medical records for intake of consultations and upload patient documentation and medical records into the patient’s electronic medical record. Work with the Radiation Oncology team, schedule patient appointments, provide call‑backs, and receive and provide information to patients, significant others, and healthcare team members in a courteous and professional manner. Provide an accurate and timely registration process to the patient population.

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED), with 1 year of customer service experience. Ability to interpret and apply financial procedures and regulations preferred. Previous experience with hospital information systems or word processing preferred.
