Job Details
• Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit of a 286-bed acute care hospital,
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45am-7:15pm,
• Patient ratio of 1:5,
• Every other weekend required,
• No on-call responsibilities,
• Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs,
• Charting via Epic EMR,
• Free parking on-site,
Job Requirements
• Active SC RN license or Compact RN license required; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered,
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS,
• Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele nursing experience required,
• Experience with telemetry and interpretation of dysrhythmias required,
• Telemetry experience on the unit required,
• Community hospital experience preferred,
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration,
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration,
Additional Information
• Completion of pre-start online modules (approximately 4 hours) required before first day,
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,
• Former permanent or PRN staff of the MUSC system must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler,
• Non-local candidates are prioritized; local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) are accepted,
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront; approval is based on facility needs,
• Scrub color:
Royal Blue,
• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June-November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response duties; peak activity months are August and September,
