We’re seeking a detail-oriented Quality Auditor to support manufacturing quality operations on 2nd shift. This role is responsible for verifying bills of materials, auditing assembled products, identifying non-conforming materials, and coordinating corrective actions to ensure quality standards are met. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with computers, using basic measuring tools, and collaborating across departments in a fast-paced production environment. This position also offers strong growth potential into Lead or Supervisor roles as operations expand.
Job Duties- Verify bills of materials (BOMs) and inspect assembled backpack blowers to ensure all required parts and components are present.
- Identify, assess, and document non-conforming materials flagged by production or team leads.
- Evaluate defects, confirm root issues, and complete system transactions to correct material discrepancies.
- Perform line audits, quality holds, and post-production inspections to ensure compliance with internal quality standards.
- Utilize calipers and other basic measuring tools to verify part dimensions and specifications.
- Read and interpret basic drawings and work instructions.
- Accurately collect and enter quality data using computer systems and Microsoft platforms.
- Prepare reject and defect reports, analyze trends, and support corrective action efforts.
- Provide immediate feedback to production teams regarding quality issues or process deviations.
- Collaborate with Quality, Production, and other departments to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain audit records and support internal quality audits as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in quality, inspection, manufacturing, or a related role.
- Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using calipers or other basic measuring tools preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret basic drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on 2nd shift.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
